AtTask Releases Customer-focused @task Project Management Software

AtTask, a provider of project and portfolio management (PPM (News - Alert)) software, has announced the availability of the enhanced version of its @task on-demand PPM software.

@task software, AtTask’s flagship product, is a platform-independent and multilingual PPM software that places business intelligence tools in the hands of executives and makes team collaboration accessible to the front line, says the company.

Apart from the product enhancements, the new @task software includes several user-requested features. The new software, according to AtTask, will meet the project management needs of their customers.

The enhancements are made as per the specific requests of @task’s customers including Google (News - Alert), Heritage Academies and Whirlpool, AtTask said.

"One of the things we're most proud of is our responsiveness to customer input," said Nate Bowler, CTO of AtTask, in a statement. "They ask, and we listen. @task's newest release comes as a direct result of talking with our customers and then quickly turning around a product that meets their business needs."

AtTask has included more than 30 new features in the latest release of @task software. The most important of all is its ability to integrate other business applications via mashups within @task. Because of this feature, users can open a number of applications such as Salesforce.com, SAP ( News - Alert), or SharePoint within @task and access their critical information and quickly integrate that data with @task.

Additionally, the new software is provided with two-way sync with MS Project, scheduled reports, recurring tasks, automatic change-in-status notifications; new reports, charts, and dashboards; the ability to preview reports; and viewable baselines, the company said.

@task’s rules-based icons allow its customers to use any image they choose for flags and other status indicators within @task. It allows them to set up recurring tasks and thus make it easy to keep a track of tasks that happen regularly. Another feature of the software helps them to create baselines to help measure project progress.

The dual-axis reporting feature of @task allows customers to compare different data on the same graph. This feature is specially designed for organizations using the Six Sigma process.

AtTask also announced the launch of its new online community with a new feature Idea Share. The new feature is a new way for customers to contribute to the @task development process. Through this community, users can submit their own ideas, discuss their vies and vote on their favorites- all contributing for further development of @task software.
